This terminal professional degree allows students to work towards two specializations: Herbal Medicine or Aromatherapy or to complete a general degree.

The focus of the Certificate in Aromatherapy is holistic aromatology. Holistic aromatology focuses on restoration of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health through the application of essential oils. We use the terms “aromatherapy” and “aromatology” interchangeably throughout the program.

This advanced level Diploma is an in-depth study of the science and art of aromatherapy.

Benefits of the ACHS Diploma in Aromatherapy program:

The Graduate Certificate in Aromatherapy provides specialized training for Graduate students in the comprehension and application of essential oils for medicinal use.

The mission of the MS in Aromatherapy degree program is to develop a practical and theoretical understanding of clinical aromatherapy and professionally apply this knowledge to educate clients and consumers about a mind-body-spirit approach to health and wellness.

Consumer use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) continues to increase, fueled by a number of factors, including increasing research of efficacy, dissatisfaction with allopathic models (particularly for chronic health problems), and an aging population.
