Course Description:
Herb
304 introduces 60 additional herbs currently linked to developing research,
including some old favorites like rosemary
Rosmarinus officinalis,
which is being tested for use with Alzheimer’s Disease, and
less-commonly used herbs like Gotu kola
Centella asiatica, researched
for use with anxiety. This course is essential for practicing
herbalists. With this well developed knowledge of materia medica, you
can be confident in your practice, provide more comprehensive client
services, and take one step further toward professional membership with
the American Herbalists Guild.
Herb 304 grants credit towards the Master
Herbalist Diploma, the Diploma in Dynamic Phytotherapy, the Diploma in
Holistic Health Practice and the Herbal Medicine major for the
Associate of Applied Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine
(AASCAM).

Prerequisites:
Herb 101,
Herb 201,
Herb 302, and
Herb 303 and recommendation for admission from the Dean of Admissions.
Study Time:
This course is completed over 16 weeks. Minimum study time recommended is 9 hours per week.
Credit:
3 semester credits.
Continuing Education Credit:
RN: 230 hours. Vet: 6 hours. Massage: 230 hours. Pharmacists: 172.5 Therapeutic and 47.5 Other credit hours.
