The Australasian College of Health Sciences accepts several sources of military funding.

Australasian College of Health Sciences (ACHS) Military Scholarship for Active Duty Military, National Guard, Reserves, Veterans, and Active Duty Military Spouses

ACHS offers a Military Scholarship Program for eligible, active duty military, serving in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserves. Military Veterans and spouses of active duty personnel are also eligible for the ACHS Military Scholarship.

The ACHS Military Scholarship awards tuition assistance of 35% of the total tuition costs.

Military applicants must:

  • Complete the ACHS Scholarship Application. (Click here to download)
  • Arrange for all transcripts and other application materials to be sent to ACHS.
  • Provide verification of U.S. military status.
  • Enroll in minimum of 6 credit hours per enrollment scholarship request.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Spouses must submit documents demonstrating their spouses' current active duty status.

ACHS Military Manual Scholarship Program

Students receiving the ACHS Military Scholarship qualify for participation in the ACHS Manual Scholarship program. This program provides ACHS Manuals to students at no cost. This scholarship is limited to active duty personnel.

Contact an admissions advisor to receive your personal education funding plan, including information and applications of all qualifying scholarships.

Veteran's Benefits

Select ACHS programs are approved for the use of Veteran's benefits by the Oregon Department of Education, the State Approving Agency. Please call or email the College for a list of currently approved programs.

Just some of the veteran's benefit programs you may be eligible for are: the Montgomery GI Bill for Active Duty, the Montgomery GI Bill for selected reserve, the Survivors' and Dependants' educational Assistance program (VEAP) and other VA benefits.

Whether you've previously applied for Veterans Educations benefits or not, your first step should be to call the VA at 1-888- GI- Bill-1. VA counselors will answer your questions and help you determine what benefits you're eligible to receive. You can also check the VA web site at www.gibill.va.gov. Once you have determined your eligibility, please contact admissions to schedule your admissions interview. You can view information about other student loans here.

DANTES

ACHS is affiliated with the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) and is listed in the DANTES Catalog of Nationally Accredited Distance Education programs. DANTES affiliation qualifies active-duty military personnel for tuition reimbursement. All accredited courses are approved for DANTES reimbursement. This tuition reimbursement applies to active duty Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Active Guard Reservists (AGR), Army National Guard (ARNG military and civilian personnel), US Army Reserves (USAR), Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), and Air National Guard.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance is available to active duty Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Active Guard Reservists, Army National Guard (military and civilian), U.S. Army Reserves, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air National Guard. Contact your Education Officer for information about TA you may be eligible to receive.
